Before You Apply

Please read the following information carefully before submitting your application for membership in the GDCSS.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Candidates who live within approximately 120 miles of a physical Temple are generally expected to receive their Neophyte initiation in person unless circumstances make travel impractical. Candidates who live farther from a Temple may undertake the Neophyte initiation astrally.

Each application is reviewed individually. Because we receive a large number of applications and take time to consider each one carefully, it may take several weeks to receive a response. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the Order. If your application is selected, you will be contacted by email with information about the next steps.

The Vow of the Neophyte

Candidates for initiation are asked to consider the obligations they will undertake as members of the Order. Before completing your application, please read the Vow of the Neophyte in its entirety.

Reading the Vow does not constitute taking it or entering into these obligations. You will be asked within the application to confirm that you have read and considered the Vow and would be willing to undertake these obligations if accepted for initiation.

After Acceptance

If you are accepted into the GDCSS, you will receive instructions for confirming your intention to join and submitting the $65 Neophyte initiation fee. Once the initiation fee has been received, you will be given access to the general study materials and community areas available to candidates preparing for initiation.

Membership dues do not begin until after your Neophyte initiation. Following initiation, dues are $20 per month. Members may choose to pay monthly, biannually ($120), or annually ($240).

If the initiation fee or membership dues present a genuine financial difficulty, including difficulties related to international currency conversion, please contact us. Financial circumstances alone should not prevent a sincere seeker from undertaking the Work.

Application Form

For the best results, we recommend completing the application using a desktop or laptop computer. We have experienced occasional issues with applications submitted from mobile devices and cannot guarantee that a mobile submission will be received correctly.

Please take your time when completing the application and answer each question thoughtfully and honestly. Your responses help us determine whether the GDCSS and its approach to the Work are a good fit for what you are seeking.
